Plane crashes into Oklahoma City Highway

A single-engine plane crashed on a northwest Oklahoma City highway median just before 1 p.m. Sunday near Interstate 235. According to authorities, the pilot, Dr. Richard Stanford, was the sole occupant and was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

Cyclist struck, killed during morning ride along SH-33

**UPDATE** After print publication, victim has been identified as Tamara Hurd, 41 years old. **   One bicyclist was killed Monday morning after getting struck by a car on State Highway 33 between Guthrie and Langston. A 62-year-old Langston man told authorities he had struck a bicyclist.

Logan 4-H members earn over 100 awards from past year

Dozens of children and young adults won plaques, medals and certificates on Tuesday for their work in the 4-H Club at the Logan County Extension educational building. Surfboards and floral necklaces were part of the decor, signifying the 2022-2023 theme: “Surf the waves of success.

County Commissioners approve SRO agreements

The Logan County Board of Commissioners Monday approved agreements for the Sheriff ’s Department to provide school resource officers for Guthrie Public Schools (Charter Oak Elementary) and Coyle Public Schools for the 2023-2024 school year. The agreements include $31,480.
