Candlelight vigil sheds light on domestic violence crisis, family support

In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Wings of Hope Family Crisis Services and the First United Presbyterian Church in Guthrie are hosting a candlelight vigil Oct. 18 to support survivors and victims, as well as educate attendees on the nuances of abusive behaviors.

Guthrie, Ok – Logan County Sheriff ’s Office announces this year’s Holiday Season Event through an Angel Tree Program. This will be our 5th year which has been in the past very successful. It will kick off on November 24th, 2023 as we set up the tree and add “Angel Cards” to the tree.

FEMA and FCC Plan Nationwide Emergency Alert Test for Oct. 4, 2023

IPAWS National Test 2023 The test will reach millions of mobile phones across the country via Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA), radio and television via the Emergency Alert System (EAS), and other communication pathways. Test will take place at approximately 2:20 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2023.
