Residents are invited to a free community event Saturday, May 2, from 10 a.m. to noon featuring document shredding, food and public safety and health resources.
Attendees can bring shred boxes for on-site, free document destruction. Organizers also encourage participants to “bring your appetite” for burgers, hot dogs and brats.
Community members will also be able to safely dispose of expired prescriptions and unwanted ammunition with assistance from the sheriff’s office, which will handle proper disposal.
The event will include opportunities to meet the Guthrie Police Department’s victim advocate and therapy dog, along with representatives from NorthCare, who will be on hand with giveaways and healthcare tips.
