Logan County Schools Prepare For New School Year

The summer is ending and the days are growing shorter, it is back to school time once again. First days of school are as follows:

Guthrie – Aug. 18th

Crescent – Aug. 4th

Cashion – Aug. 11th

Coyle – Aug. 11th

Mulhall-Orlando – Aug. 12th

Stuff the Bus, sponsored by the Guthrie Chamber of Commerce, will also be collecting school supply donations as well as monetary donations during Red Brick Nights Saturday. All proceeds from the Stuff the Bus event are used to help buy school supplies for Guthrie Public School System for the fall semester.

Around town there will be receptacles taking school supply donations. Any kind of donation is accepted. School supplies, gift cards and cash donations will all be going to the Chamber of Commerce to fund the supply list provided by the Guthrie schools.

The Stuff the Bus bins will be located across town at multiple locations to collect donations. The list of shops with supply collecting bins are as follows;

Cleveland and Co. Mercantile

The Grand Ole Barber Shop

The Lewis Agency Guthrie Chamber of Commerce
