Guthrie may be in landlocked Oklahoma but there is a lighthouse that shines through the darkness of poverty and despair providing hope to those who are struggling.
Lakeview Church is providing food, clothing and counseling to those in need, those struggling and those having trouble making ends meet. Food and clothing are free from the church and a counselor is providing sessions at a discounted rate.
“We are trying to help people mentally, spiritually and physically… we want to help our city,” Pastor Chris Wilkerson said.
Lakeview Church is always looking for food and clothing donations to help provide what is needed to those who need it.
When making donations please remember to check the cleanliness of clothing items as well as the expiration date on the food donations.
Currently, until enough donations are plenty enough to allow for open donation pickups a couple times a week, pickups are by appointment only. If you or someone you know is in need of food, clothing and/ or counseling services please call the Lakeview Church at 405-282-0987 and mention the Lighthouse in order to schedule an appointment for donation pick-ups.
Donation pick up is located at the Lighthouse Ministry at 6933 East Waterloo Road Unit No. 4. Picking up and dropping off donations will be at the Ministry’s Waterloo Road location, while the Lakeview Church on Seward Road will only be a donation drop off location.
