County Approves REAP Grant Applications

Logan County’s Board of Commissioners on Tuesday approved several Rural Economic Action Plan (REAP) grant applications.

Among those was a resolution for a REAP grant application for an overlay on Charter Oak Road between Post Road and Westminster Road in District 2; ditches and gravel on Midwest Boulevard; and ditches, gravel and culvert on College Avenue.

The REAP Grant Program is a point-based program designed to assist smaller communities that lack sufficient fiscal capacity. Priority is given to cities, towns and municipalities with a population less than 1,750, school districts with less than 525 students, and rural water and/or sewer districts with less than 525 non-pasture taps.
