Guthrie Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Support Staff Appreciation Bus Tour this week, with chamber representatives, ambassadors and school officials traveling across the district to celebrate support staff members throughout Guthrie Public Schools.
The annual tradition recognizes the employees who work behind the scenes each day to help keep schools running smoothly. The group visited campuses throughout the district, bringing music, dancing and gifts to staff members during the celebration.
Support staff members also received bags filled with snacks, drinks, sweet treats and gifts donated by local businesses, organizations and community members.
“Partnering with Guthrie Public Schools for Support Staff Day is a highlight for us because these hardworking individuals are the backbone of our schools, and we want them to feel truly valued and appreciated,” said Brittany Timmons, president of the Guthrie Chamber of Commerce. “This event is only possible because of the incredible generosity of our local businesses and organizations, who stepped up to donate the snacks, sweet treats, gifts, and drinks to make this day special.”
The annual event serves as a communitywide show of appreciation for the support staff members who help students, teachers and schools succeed every day.
