Acommunity car show honoring the historic Beacon Drive-In is scheduled for Saturday, March 28, in the theater’s parking lot.
The event will run from 3 p.m. until dusk and is free to attend. Proceeds from the event will benefit local charities.
Organizers say the show will feature a variety of vehicles, including classic, vintage, muscle, hot rod and custom cars. Food and treats will be available from a food truck and snow cone vendor, and attendees will have opportunities for photos while celebrating the site’s local history.
Participants interested in entering a vehicle may do so for a $25 fee, payable by cash or check upon arrival. The entry fee is limited to the first 200 vehicles and includes a commemorative T-shirt and photo plaque.
Organizers encourage residents to bring friends and family for an afternoon of cars, community and remembrance at one of Guthrie’s iconic locations.
