On August 10th, the Guthrie Chamber held a Back to School Bash at Community Church. Over 700 people attended the event. The Chamber along with over 25 businesses and organizations provided 140 free haircuts, gave out 100 backpacks and supplies, provided games and activities, balloon animals, school organization information, face painting and more. The crowd enjoyed music from the Guthrie Band with performances by Guthrie Cheer, food provided by the Guthrie Football Boosters and Papa’s Tacos. The attendees were also able to view police and fire vehicles as well as the Twister Truck. Thank you to Mercy Hospital, Gilded Plumbing, The Grand Ole Barbershop, Eskridge Chevrolet, Guthrie News Leader and Community Church for your sponsorships. The Chamber looks forward to making this an annual event.
