Cox Communications sponsors free admission day at Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum

OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum will offer free admission Saturday, April 18, as part of Cox Community Day, sponsored by Cox Communications.

The annual event is held one day before the April 19 anniversary of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing and provides visitors an opportunity to experience the museum’s exhibits and message of resilience at no cost.

Organizers say the day allows first-time visitors to learn about the events of April 19, 1995, while giving returning guests a chance to reflect on the lives lost and the lasting impact on survivors, families and the community.

The Memorial & Museum continues to serve as a place of remembrance, education and unity more than three decades after the attack.

“This history matters — not just because of the tragedy, but because of the extraordinary response that followed,” said Katy Boren, market vice president for Cox Communications in Oklahoma City. “When we make space for people to learn, reflect and remember together, we strengthen the fabric of our community.”

Visitors will have access to interactive exhibits, survivor stories and archival footage, as well as the Outdoor Symbolic Memorial. Staff and volunteers will be available throughout the day to help guests engage with the history and better understand the bombing’s lasting impact on Oklahoma City and the nation.

Organizers say the event also reflects a commitment to ensuring younger generations can learn about the tragedy and its legacy of resilience and responsibility.
