Cashion basketball teams exit playoffs on high note

Tim Willert, correspondentCashion High’s basketball teams nearly made it all the way to the state tournament.The 2025-26 boys season came to an end Saturday night in the Class 2A area consolation finals at Bridge Creek High School, where the Wildcats lost 52-46 to No. 2 Oklahoma Christian Academy.

Bluejays Dominate Home Opener, Take Two from Guymon

Guthrie dominated its home opener Monday, defeating Guymon 161. The result mirrored the previous meeting between the two teams in March 2025.Owen Wilder went 2-for-4 with a home run, two stolen bases and three RBIs.

Senior Duo Shoots Crescent Girls into Superior Postseason

As freshmen, Aja Adams- House and Zori Wilson played on a Crescent basketball team that won three games.Now, as seniors, they are the leaders of a Lady Tigers team that has 21 wins and will play for a berth in the Class 2Astate tournament beginning Thursday.

Jaylee Harp played her next to last home game for Cashion High School on Friday night.The Senior Night tilt against Tonkawa — a 6315 win — was the culmination of a long journey for Harp, who came into her own this season for Coach Andrea Taylor’s Lady Wildcats.

Basketball Round-Up: Mulhall-Orlando girls post 21 steals as hot streak continues

Kinley Rivera and her Mulhall-Orlando basketball teammates picked a lot of pockets Friday night. Rivera had five of the Lady Panthers’ 21 steals in a 51-36 home win over Shidler High School.
