Vincent to coach Langston women’s basketball

Senator James Lankford visited the south campus of Meridian Technology Center on Monday, June 10 to discuss recent Federal initiatives and other topics relevant to Logan County.

Lady Bluejays 11th at Class 5A state meet

Guthrie High School’s Lady Bluejays track and field team capped its 2024 season with an 11th-place finish at the Class 5A State Track Meet, scoring 30 points. Lincoln Christian won the title with 123.
Regional champs! Gavin Cook placed 5th at 2 singles, Jaxson and Mason Mayer won the 2 doubles draw, Lane Goode and Carson Olmsted won the 1 doubles draw and Isaiah Dearman placed 4th at 1 singles. We will be playing at the State Tournament in Oklahoma City this past weekend.

Guthrie senior Wesley Silvis signed a Letter of Intent on May 9 to wrestle at University of Central Oklahoma next year. Silvis will wrestle at 197 pounds for the Bronchos. Silvis finished 24-7 this past season and a fourth place finish at 190 pounds in the Class 5A State Tournament. Silvis plans to major in kinesiology. Silvis is the son of Shawn and Lyndsey Silvis. Guthrie Track Quali_es for State Meet

Guthrie High School’s track teams produced some solid performances at the Edmond regional on May 4, particularly the girls, who will send three relay teams and multiple individuals to the Class 5A State Championships this weekend at Western Heights High.
