Lady Bluejays 11th at Class 5A state meet

Guthrie High School’s Lady Bluejays track and field team capped its 2024 season with an 11th-place finish at the Class 5A State Track Meet, scoring 30 points. Lincoln Christian won the title with 123.
Regional champs! Gavin Cook placed 5th at 2 singles, Jaxson and Mason Mayer won the 2 doubles draw, Lane Goode and Carson Olmsted won the 1 doubles draw and Isaiah Dearman placed 4th at 1 singles. We will be playing at the State Tournament in Oklahoma City this past weekend.

Guthrie senior Wesley Silvis signed a Letter of Intent on May 9 to wrestle at University of Central Oklahoma next year. Silvis will wrestle at 197 pounds for the Bronchos. Silvis finished 24-7 this past season and a fourth place finish at 190 pounds in the Class 5A State Tournament. Silvis plans to major in kinesiology. Silvis is the son of Shawn and Lyndsey Silvis.
