Grover Harold Gay 1947-2025

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Grover Harold Gay. Harold was born in Waurika, OK on March 1st, 1947 to Grover and Lillian Gay. Harold grew up in Waurika and graduated from Waurika High School in 1965, he then attended Oklahoma State University. He later moved to Guthrie, OK where he worked at Kerr-McGee and then later met his wife of 51 years, Betty.

Harold joined the United States Marine Corps and honorably served his country until November 1969. Harold received our nation’s Purple Heart Medal and was exposed to Agent Orange while serving in Vietnam. Harold is survived by his loving wife, Betty, his son Nicholas York Gay, and grandson Jacob Brantley Gay. He also leaves behind a strong brotherhood of fellow Marines and fishermen.

Harold had requested that no commemorative services be held.
