Frederick “Freddy” Dayton Hayes, Jr.
1964-2023
Frederick “Freddy” Dayton Hayes, Jr. passed away on December 20, 2023, in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Freddy was born to Frederick and Barbara (Hirschi) Hayes on August 6, 1964, and grew up in Guthrie.
Freddy graduated from Guthrie High School and worked in the oil field. He had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and attending rodeos. He also took pride in his cattle and loved heading and heeling them. As a child, he was baptized at the First Christian Church in Guthrie, and in recent years, he was a member of Life.Church.
Freddy is survived by his son Grant Hayes and wife Miranda; his daughter Courtney Bass; his sister Sandra Foshee and husband Kurt; his nephews Adam Foshee, Andrew Foshee, and Alex Foshee; and his grandsons Dayton and Beaux Hayes. Freddy is also survived by his girlfriend, Debbie Pointer and his lifelong friend, Wheeler Coburn.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
