Don Ledington

Don Ledington, 68, went home to be with the Lord Friday, December 10, 2021 in Chesapeake, Virginia surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Guthrie, Oklahoma to the late Jesse and Emma Jean Ledington. He was predeceased by his brother Ronnie Ledington. He was an avid collector of many things, he loved animals and was a voracious reader who strived to continue his education. He retired after 20 years of honorable service as a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserves.

He worked at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City for 35 years, as a Lab Manager and Medical Technologist. He earned a Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration, a Bachelors in Funeral Science and Ocular Procurement, as well as an Associate’s Degree in Radiology. There is a scholarship in his name at the University of Central Oklahoma in Funeral Science.

He is survived by his wife LeAnn Ledington of 24 years, his two daughters Shana Lea Henning and Sheri Lyn Huddleston and her husband Duane. He also leaves to cherish his memory, four grandchildren; Elysia Lyn, Victoria Elizabeth, Elexis LeAnn and Erik Huddleston, brother Johnny Ledington, nephew Brandon Ledington and many other relatives and friends.

The family will have a private Celebration of Life in Chesapeake, VA. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in honor of Don Ledington to the American Diabetes Association.
