Kelli Renae Roberts

1984-2025

Kelli Renae Roberts passed from this life on July 20, 2025, leaving behind a world that was better for having known her. Born on December 4, 1984, in Edmond, Oklahoma, to Randy and Lonnetta (Mallett) Richardson, Kelli grew up in Guthrie and graduated from Guthrie High School with the Class of 2003. She spent her life loving deeply, giving freely, and lifting up those lucky enough to know her.

On March 14, 2015, Kelli married Charles Roberts in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their love was joyful and steady, rooted in laughter, adventure, and a shared devotion to their family. Together, they built a home full of life, love, and the kind of memories that never fade.

Kelli had a heart that was drawn to care. She worked closely with children with disabilities, work that wasn’t just a job, but a reflection of who she was. Patient, gentle, and endlessly kind, Kelli had a way of making people feel safe and seen. Her compassion left a lasting impact on every life she touched.

She also enjoyed her work as kitchen manager of the detention center of the Logan County Jail and was particularly well suited for the position.

Outside of her work, Kelli found peace in nature. She loved fishing, hunting, and weekends at the lake. Her happiest days were often the simplest ones spent with her friends, her animals, and her family. She adored her home and poured her love into every corner of it, creating a space that welcomed all who entered.

Kelli is survived by her husband and best friend, Charles Roberts; her beloved children, Presley, Paisley, and Bradley, who were her greatest pride and joy; her parents, Randy and Lonnetta Richardson; and her brother, Billy Richardson and his wife Katrina. She is also survived by her in-laws, Doyle and Kathy Roberts; her brothers-in-law, Todd Roberts and his wife Michelle, and Matt Roberts; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever carry her in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her cousin Austin Richardson, her uncle Rodney Richardson, her grandparents Billy and Fonnie Richardson, and her grandparents Lonnie and Rosemary Mallett and Mary Layne Mallett.

Kelli’s absence leaves an ache that cannot be put into words. But in the quiet moments, in the laughter of her children, in the sunlight on the lake, and in every act of kindness inspired by her memory, Kelli’s beautiful spirit will continue to shine.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at First Christian Church, located at 402 E. Noble Avenue, Guthrie, Oklahoma, with Rev. Katrina Richardson officiating. Inurnment will follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery, 1624 N. Pine Street, Guthrie, Oklahoma.

Per Kelli’s request, no viewing will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Twin Cedars at http://www. camptwincedars. org or Helping Community Paws and Claws at http://www.hcpcok. org, two causes close to Kelli’s heart.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff of OU Medical Center for their compassionate care.

Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home. Friends and family may sign the online guestbook at hayesfh.com.
