Guthrie Job Corps Center celebrated the 20th anniversary of its Military Appreciation Day on May 7 with students, staff, veterans and military representatives gathering to honor service members and military partnerships.
The event featured a keynote address from Colby B. Wyatt, director of joint staff for the Oklahoma National Guard.
The occasion carried special significance as Wyatt is the son of the event’s inaugural 2005 speaker, retired Lt. Gen. Harry M. Wyatt III, who served as Oklahoma’s adjutant general at the time.
Students and staff were joined by recruiters from the Oklahoma Army National Guard, United States Navy, United States Army and United States Air Force. Military representatives from Fort Sill and Lt. Col. Corttesio also attended the ceremony.
