PRESS RELEASE FROM THE HONORABLE DIANE VAUGHAN

Logan County, OK - Special Judge Diane Vaughan is appointed to fill the position of Associate District Judge of Logan County. This temporary appointment comes after the untimely passing of The Honorable Louis A. Duel who served as the Associate District Judge for Logan County for the last 16 years. Judge Vaughan has served as Special Judge for Logan and Payne Couties for the last three years. Before taking the Bench in 2022, she served as an Assistant District Attorney in Logan County, worked in private practice in Guthrie, and she retired as a JAG officer after serving 21 years in the Air National Guard.

Judge Vaughan will assume the powers and jurisdiction of Associate District Judge effective immediately by recommendation of The Honorable Jason Reese, Logan County District Judge and by Order of Appointment by the Honorable John Canavan Jr., Presiding Judge North
