Cotteral Elementary School Recipient of Sonic Donation

Cotteral Elementary School was the recipient of a generous $8,000 donation, presented by Brian Billings, owner of the Sonic Drive-In located at Highway 33 and I-35. The donation was awarded during a Guthrie Public Schools Board of Education meeting on February 10th, 2025.

Logan County Junior Livestock Show

On February 6th, the Mulhall-Orlando FFA and 4-H members began the Logan County Fair with an Ag Mechanics contest. This is the fourth year this contest has been available for students to compete in.Mulhall-Orlando 4-H member Bridger Arrington was named Grand Champion with his firetruck bumper.

Board Approves 50/50 State Grant

The Logan County Board of Commissioners last Friday approved a (State of Oklahoma) Emergency Response Capability and Impacts Grant Program Agreement for a 50/50 grant for upgrades to the Sheriff ’s radio communication system.The total project cost is $250,000.

Logan County Man Arrested After High-Speed Chase

A high-speed chase last Wednesday led to the arrest of a man who refused to comply with a traffic-stop attempt by Guthrie police officers.The pursuit started when Guthrie officers attempted to stop a white Dodge Ram near 14th and College at around 3 a.m.

Firefighters Honored for Heroic Rescue in January Blaze

At a recent City Council meeting, Captain Fairless recognized four firefighters for their courageous actions during a house fire on January 6th.
