Medal of Honor Recipient Oscar Upham Remembered for Bravery, Legacy

On Nov. 1, 2025, Oscar J. Upham, a Congressional Medal of Honor recipient, was inducted into the Oklahoma Military Hall of Fame for his heroic actions while serving in China during the Boxer Rebellion and aboard the battleship USS Oregon during the Spanish-American War.

POCKET PARK

On Nov. 5, the City of Guthrie and the Guthrie Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribboncutting ceremony to celebrate the new downtown Pocket Park. The collaborative project transformed an underused space into a vibrant community asset.
