Genealogists collect ancestors. Going backward in time from child to parent for generations, recording names, dates of birth, marriage and death, with documentation to prove each detail. They build a picture of each ancestor by researching their lives and locations.

Scouts Host Flag Retirement Ceremony

The Scouting America Pack 850 and Troop 850 hosted a flag retirement ceremony July 1 at the Guthrie VFW Sooner Post 4578 with VFW Post Commander Doug Newton. A history of the flag was read, and the ceremony included a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance as the first flag was retired.
