Tim’s Body Worx of Guthrie, OK hosts Local First Responders for the National Auto Body Council® First Responder Emergency Extrication (F.R.E.E.™) Program
Tim’s Body Worx, CSAA (AAA) Insurance, Allstate and Genesis Rescue Systems to Host First Responder Education Event in Guthrie, OK, to Demonstrate How to Extricate People from Today’s Advanced Vehicles on March 29, 2025
The public is invited to bring donations of supplies
Today’s vehicles are equipped with numerous airbags, advanced technology and innovative safety systems that keep drivers safer in case of an accident. But these same safety advantages make it harder for first responders to rescue those drivers and passengers. Add to that the potential challenge presented by electric and hybrid engines, and first responders need a whole new arsenal of rescue tools and procedures.
The National Auto Body Council® First Responder Emergency Education (F.R.E.E.™) program helps prepare local first responder teams to rescue accident victims from these late-model vehicles. The program provides education and live demonstrations on working with high-strength steel, airbags, advanced restraint systems, onboard technology and safety around alternative fuel vehicles.

Tim’s Body Worx, located at 2319 S Division St, Guthrie OK will host first responders from the Guthrie Fire Department and surrounding areas at a special NABC F.R.E.E.™ education and guidance program on March 29 to help ensure Guthrie drivers have the best prepared response in case of an accident.
In addition to this great event, we are inviting Logan County residents to come watch your fire fighters in action and bring donations of supplies to replenish their stock after the past few weeks’ events. Visit Meridian South Campus from 9:00 – 3:00pm (outside airbag and extrication demos from 1:00 – 3:00pm)
WHO: Tim’s Body Worx, along with CSAA (AAA) Insurance and Allstate Insurance, which donated the vehicles, will host Logan County Fire Departments for a special NABC F.R.E.E.™ program presented by Genesis Rescue Systems.
WHAT: The NABC F.R.E.E.™ program provides advanced education and guidance to help first responders practice cutting techniques on advanced vehicles, addressing high-strength steel and composite materials, multiple airbags, onboard technology and changing vehicle design. The vehicles for the program were donated by CSAA (AAA) Insurance and Allstate Insurance, and Genesis Rescue Systems is providing classroom education and extrication demonstration.
The growing popularity of high-voltage hybrid and electric vehicles and the many safety concerns surrounding these vehicles makes this program a necessity. Alternative fuel systems present different challenges when first responders arrive at the scene of an accident. Electric cars, hybrid cars and natural gas vehicles have fuel systems that pose dangers for first responders if the need arises to “cut” the vehicle for rescue.
WHERE: Meridian South Campus

WHEN: Saturday, March 29 - 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. CT
