September Sales and Use Tax

The City of Guthrie saw a jump in its summer sales tax revenue with numbers released Monday afternoon.

The tax receipts are from Guthrie’s July sales tax numbers, which were reported to the Oklahoma Tax Commission, and then apportioned to the City in September.

According to the City’s report, sales tax revenue in the September report was $737,210.75 or $73,453 or 11 percent more in September 2022 as compared to September 2021. Overall sales tax numbers were $696,961 or 9.4 percent higher as compared to FY2021.

TheFiscalYear2022total of $8,114,045 is $308,649 or 4 percent more than the FY2022 Budget Projection of $7,805,396.

The City’s report on Use (Internet) Tax Revenue- September Revenue $84,007 was $6,989.84 or 9 percent higher in September 2022 as compared to September 2021, and $67,169 or 6.67 percent higher as compared to FY2021.

The report say s the FY2022 total of $1,073,739.98 is ($29,629) or 2.7 percent less than the City’s FY2022 budget projection of $1,103,369.
