Oklahoma State Fair returns to Fairgrounds Sept. 15-25

Autumn is approaching fast, and with it comes the 2022 Oklahoma State Fair. Thursday, Sept. 15 through Sunday, Sept. 25, the Oklahoma City Fairgrounds will come to life with demonstrations and celebrations of all of the best things Oklahoma has to offer.

Gates open at 10 a.m. daily. Sunday through Thursday, exhibit buildings will close at 9 p.m., and outdoor exhibits will close at 10. On Friday and Saturday, exhibit buildings will close at 9:30 p.m., and outdoor buildings will close at 10:30.

The Carnival will open at 1 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 11 a.m. on weekends. Carnival and Midway closing times will be at management’s discretion on all days.

Ticket information: * Advance tickets: $8 for all ages 12 and over, or $4 for children ages 6 to 11. Season passes are $25.

* Tickets after opening: $15 for all ages 12 and over, or $8 for children ages 6 to 11. Season passes are $40. Special discount days: Thurs., Sept. 15: “Thrifty Thursday” - outside gate is $5 for everyone, and rideall- day armbands are $25. Mon., Sept. 19: “Military Monday” - outside gate is FREE to all active duty, retired, veterans and spouses.

Tues., Sept. 20: “Pepsi $2 Tuesday” - outside gate is $2, and all rides are $2 each. No Pepsi can required.

Weds., Sept. 21: “Senior Day” - outside gate is FREE for senior citizens Thurs., Sept. 22: “Thrifty Thursday” - outside gate is $5 for everyone, and rideall day armbands are $25. Get tickets online at www.okstatefair.com or call (405) 948-6800. The Box Office closes at 5 p.m. every day except Saturday, when it closes at 9 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m.

Free parking for the Oklahoma State Fair is located on both the north and south sides of the property, and handicapped parking is available at the public gates. Advanced single-day parking passes are $5 and season parking passes are $30. After the Fair opens, single-day parking passes are $10 and season parking passes are $50.

This year’s competitions include arm wrestling, equine, creative arts, livestock, the Oklahoma Student Art Exhibition, wine, and 4-H and FFA exhibits. The OKC Fairgrounds main office is located at 3001 General Pershing Boulevard in Oklahoma City. There are multiple entrances into the park.
