This past weekend, downtown Guthrie was transformed into the fictional town of Stars Hollow, made famous by the acclaimed television show Gilmore Girls.
A Novel Idea Bookshop owner Chelsea Richardson created the event to bring more shoppers to downtown businesses. In partnership with local businesses, each stop was transformed into a location from the show, and shoppers were able to check off their stops at each location to be entered into a drawing to win a Gilmore Girls themed prize.
The event brought hundreds of visitors to town, and Richardson said plans are underway to make next year’s event even bigger.
