The 10th annual Community Day and Fly-in is returning to the Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport at 520 Airport Road on Saturday, Sept. 17.
The Fly-In will take place from 9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and is free to the public.
Visitors of all ages are invited to view the various aircraft and classic cars on display, and plenty of food and cold drinks will be available for purchase. Children ages 8 to 17 can enjoy free airplane rides by EAA Chapters 24 and 1098. Lots of other activities for children will be provided by Sooner Flight Academy.
The Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport (GERA) and its volunteers are a collection of pilots and aviation enthusiasts from the Guthrie and Edmond areas that bring together those who are passionate about aviation in their communities. Other events put on by GERA include the Santa Fly-In, Open Hangar days, airport tours, pancake breakfasts, and the Summer Aviation Program.
Parking for this event is also free. For more information about the airport, go to: guthrieedmondregionalairport. com.
