District 2 Commissioner Kody Ellis announced Wednesday at the Logan County B o a rd of Commis sioners that he was resigning The resignation is effective Feb.

“I just want everybody to know that I will be filing a formal resignation,” Ellis said. “I appreciate everything that everybody has done. I just want to apologize.”
Ellis’ resignation comes amidst an investigation for possible embezzlement.
Logan County District Attorney Laura Austin Thomas said in a published press release that a criminal investigation conducted by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) was presented to her office alleging possible embezzlement charges against a Logan County elected official.
