City sales tax revenue up, use tax is down slightly

The City of Guthrie sales tax revenue was up again according to numbers from January business numbers.

The city received $679,918.73 in sales tax this month. This amount is 11 percent higher or $69,876.65 more as compared to the same month last year at $610,042.08.

The city is nine percent higher accumulatively as compared to 2022 or $362,268.98.

Year-to-Date collection is $4,290,825 which is five percent more than YTD projection of $4,101,124 (or, $189,702 more than projection).

The City of Guthrie received $73,457.96 in Use (Internet)Tax this month from January sales numbers.

This amount is -2 percent lower or ($1,277.51) less as compared to the same month last year at $74,735.47.

The City’s Use Tax is two percent higher accumulatively as compared to 2022 or $11,633.52.

YTD collection is $578,530 which is five percent more than YTD projection of $553,248 (or, $25,282 more than projection).
