The American Legion’s vision for transforming nine acres at 125 Rush St. in Guthrie is now a reality. For the past year and a half, the American Legion executive board, building committee and volunteers have worked to turn the property into a community gathering place and veteran resource center.
Phase One includes renovation of the grand room, a break room and bathrooms, which will be completed within the next two weeks. Once finished, the facility will serve as a rental venue for the community and host regional and auxiliary American Legion meetings.
