Incredible live music is just part of the threeday International Bluegrass Festival, which is entering its 25th year at the Cottonwood Flats in Guthrie, beginning Thursday, Oct. 6.
Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper are headlining the shindig, full of incredible live music performances, camping, workshops, food trucks, merchandise and instrument sales, and around-the-fire jam sessions.
The Guthrie bluegrass tradition brings in diverse American entertainers and outstanding international bluegrass bands from around the world. The Grascals, Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen, The Kruger Brothers, and many other well-loved performers will be hitting the stage. The full line-up of musicians can be found on the “artist’s page” at oibf. com/artists.
On Saturday evening, the festival will hold an auction to allow visitors to bid for a fine instrument or special memorabilia. Items are donated by generous people and companies, including Triggs Guitars, Collings Guitars, Saga, and Music Link, and are on display throughout the festival in the merchandise tent. All proceeds go to fund youth music scholarships.
Tickets are on sale now at oibf.com. Children 12 and under are
