Weather played havoc with the schedules last week as the Lady Panthers were 1-0 with a 10-2 win over Agra on Sept. 8.
The Lady Panthers were scheduled to play Covington-Douglas last night. Games against Cashion and Crescent were wiped out by the rain.
The Lady Panthers will get to host a district this year when they host Coyle in a best two out of three series next week. The Lady Panthers are ranked 17th in the coaches’ poll for Class B with an 11-5 record. Coyle is 3-3 on the year after losing several weeks of the season due to COVID-19 issues at the school. The teams were scheduled to play each other earlier in the year but those games got cancelled.
The Panthers beat Carney 4-3 on Sept. 8 before losing three games to rain later in the week. The Panthers then lost a 7-6 game to Dover on Monday night to fall to 11-6 on the season. The Panthers are ranked 15th in Class B and have two games scheduled with Oilton this week and a trip to the Ripley Tournament this weekend to wrap up the regular season.
The Panthers will then travel to New Lima for a four team district with Carney and Paden. The double elimination tournament will take place Sept. 24-26.
