Langston’s Stevie Pringle landed his first-career Sooner Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors after his hot shooting performance helped the Lions to a key road victory, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon. In the Lions’ 77-73 win at Wiley (Texas), the Phoenix City, Ala. product poured in a career-high 24 points on a perfect 10-of-10 shooting night from the floor. He also finished 4-of-5 from the charity stripe. The 6-foot-4 guard finished off the contest with a double-double, the first of his career, by pulling down a game-high 12 rebounds, including seven off the offensive glass. Pringle also added four assists and a steal.
The Lions have now won three of its last four as the win improved Langston to 7-2 on the season.
