As we enter week four of the high school football season, games will mean a little bit more now as district games begin for all Logan County teams. Here’s a look at Cashion vs Christian Heritage Academy
(3-0) #1 Cashion vs (4-0) #4 Christian Heritage Academy
At A Glance:
Looking for the game of the week in Logan County? This one should have it all. The top-ranked Wildcats will face off with the fourth-ranked Crusaders in a pivotal district match up this Friday night. Cashion has been rolling this season, averaging nearly 40 points per game. The Wildcat defense has arguably been more impressive, giving up only 14 points all season. Christian Heritage enters this game looking to avenge last year's 18-14 loss at home to the Wildcats. The Crusaders have beaten Coalgate, Mount St. Mary, Wellston, and Classen SAS so far this year.
Cashion wins if…
If the Wildcats want to win, they will have to continue their dominance on defense. Cashion has been great this season at limiting big plays and getting off the field on third down. Last week against Crescent, Cashion allowed only 100 yards of offense, the majority of that coming in the fourth quarter with the starters out.
Christian Heritage Academy wins if…
The Crusaders are about as balanced of an offense as you could hope for as an offensive coordinator. They average 175 on the ground and 128 through the air. They will win if they can do something that hasn’t been done this season and find a weakness in the Cashion defense. The Wildcats are too talented and too deep offensively; they are going to score points. That means the pressure will be on the Crusaders to keep pace. CHA has the ability to put up points; they’ve scored 30 or more in three straight weeks. Can they do it against the Wildcats?
The Crusaders lost some key players from last year's state runner up finish, while the Wildcats are loaded. Cashion’s playing too good right now and has shown no signs of letting up.
