  • July 4th Parade in downtown Crescent July 4th Parade in downtown Crescent

    Pictured above, patriotic tractors showed spirit at Crescent’s annual Fourth of July parade last weekend. Residents and attendees from the surrounding area came out in full force to line downtown Crescent’s main street, cheering on parade participants like the Teen Talent Show Queens who threw candy to children, Bluebird Farm representatives who sang “Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah”, the local 4-H division with several canine companions in tow, the historic veteran-costumed member of the Frontier Country Museum and, of course, the local fire department. After the parade, participants and attendees headed to the city park to enjoy carnival games, barbecue and snow cones. The shady oaks in the park kept revelers relatively cool until the evening’s fireworks display.

  • Fifth Annual Dragging Main Fifth Annual Dragging Main

    The Fifth Annual Dragging Main Car Show was held Saturday night in downtown Guthrie. There were approximately 50 cars and their owners who showed up to show off their prize possessions. The cars and trucks ranged in all groups and years. There were Mustangs, Corvettes, trucks, old Chevy cars all polished and shined up for the show. Ronny Gage, coordinated the event and lead the cars on several loops through the downtown area. The crowd was not as big as it has been in past years but considering the hot weather and the holiday weekend everyone looked to be having a good time with the event.
