Lillie Mae Phillips

Lillie Mae Phillips, 99, of Guthrie, OK, passed away peacefully on November 28th, 2022, with family by her side. Lillie Mae Noble was born August 11th, 1923, to Wesley and Lucille (Rhodes) Noble.

A life-long resident of Guthrie, she graduated from Guthrie High School in 1941. Lillie Mae married her sweetheart, Horace Phillips, in 1959. They shared 26 beautiful years together until his passing in 1985.

Lillie Mae proudly worked as a bookkeeper for Noel Datin’s clothing store in Guthrie for many years. She was also involved in the Guthrie Business and Professional Women’s club, serving as corresponding secretary. Some of her most cherished moments, however, were spent with her family who will miss her very much.

Lillie Mae is preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Lucille Noble; husband, Horace Phillips; brother-in-law, Don Mc-Caslin; and niece, Lauri Williams.

She leaves behind her sister, Shirley McCaslin; nephew, Michael Mc-Caslin and wife, Janie Mc-Caslin; great-nephews and nieces, Jessica McCaslin, Ben McCaslin (Meredith), Lindsey Chaney (Dalton), Ryan McCaslin (Kaycie), and great-great-nieces and nephews, Kaitlyn Sells, Rowdy Fisher, Kolten Chaney, Parker Chaney, Breken Fisher, Sadie Mc-Caslin, Lillie McCaslin, and Charlotte McCaslin.

A graveside service was held for Lillie Mae at 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 2, 2022 at Seward Cemetery with Pastor Greg Hudson officiating. Services were under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

A special thank you to Virginia, Suni Kay, and Fred who have cared for and supported Lillie Mae over the years. The support provided by Golden Age staff and Companion Hospice nurses and aides over the last 6 months is very much appreciated.
