Laurah Elizabeth (Rains) Kilbourn, 80, peacefully passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021. She was born September 24, 1940 to Edgar and Vera Rains (Harper).
Laurah’s passion was sewing. Her dream was to open a fabric shop. Her dream was realized with the opening of her “Extra Special” fabric store.
She is preceded in death by her fathers, Edgar Rains and Marvin Harper; one granddaughter, Melissa; and a great-granddaughter, Cecily.
Laurah is survived by her mother, Vera Harper and brothers, Lloyd Rains and wife, Tijuana of Purcell, OK and Alford Rains and wife, Linda of Broken Arrow, OK. She is also survived by her three children, Mike Kilbourn of Neguanee, MI, Marsha Smith and husband, Dusky of Guthrie, OK and Bryan Kilbourn and wife, Juli of Tulsa, OK. Also surviving Laurah are eight grandchildren, Darcee, Rebecca, Brooke, Whitney, Kaylene, Chase, Sarah, and Christopher and ten greatgrandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Laurah was a strong willed, loving woman who will be missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, February 26, 2021 at Community Church with Chaplain Gene Owen officiating. Interment followed at Roselawn Cemetery in Mulhall, OK. Services were under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, 220 N. 1st St., Guthrie, OK 73044.
