John Paul Kendall, 87, of Guthrie, OK, passed away peacefully early in the morning of July 14, 2022. John was born September 16, 1934 in Guthrie, the eldest of three sons born to George ‘Jing’ and Elizabeth Kendall.
He grew up on the family farm east of Guthrie near Meridian until he graduated high school. After meeting and falling in love with Marcelle Maurais, the pair wed on August 3rd 1974 at St. John the Baptist Church in Edmond, OK. John and Marcelle were happily married in Guthrie until her death in 2000. Several years later his mother, Elizabeth also passed away so he moved back to the family farm where he continued farming until a few years prior to his death.
John was a kind, humble man and will be greatly missed. He is survived by many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 .M., Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, 220 North 1st St., Guthrie, OK 73044.
Visitation will be held at Smith-Gallo Funeral home in Guthrie, OK on July 18, 2022 from 1:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M.
