Funeral services for Harold Dean Richards, 81, of Mulhall, OK will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Mulhall with Pastor James Tucker officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Mulhall. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, 220 North 1st St., Guthrie, OK 73044.
Harold was born November 10, 1940 in Crescent, OK to Dwayne Randoll and Hazel Ruth (Trease) Richards. He passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021 in Perry, OK.
Harold met the love of his life, Jo Ann McAnally, in 1957 at Mulhall High School. He married Jo Ann on June 18, 1961 in Mulhall.
He worked as a rural mail carrier in Guthrie for twenty years. His hobbies included coin collecting and gardening and canning salsa which was his specialty. Harold also loved sports which he enjoyed playing and watching. He also loved everything OU. Harold loved to hunt and fish, especially with his grandchildren. He was a jokester and gave everyone a nickname.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Dwayne and Hazel.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann; sons, Paul Richards and wife, Jayme and Mark Richards and wife, Hannah; daughter, Lesa and husband, Craig; grandchildren, Ryan, Kyle, Rhett, Mikenzi, Cooper, and Tripp also known as the “Super Six”; and his sisters, Shirley Jerome and husband, Sam and Tresa Barton and husband, Jack.
Memorial donations may be made in his name to the First Baptist Church of Mulhall, 204 N. McMillan St., Mulhall, OK 73063.
Visitation will be held Monday, 2:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at Smith-Gallo Funeral Home.
