Gloria Ann (Bross) Young of Guthrie, OK died peacefully on January 25, 2023, surrounded by her family. Gloria was born in Guthrie, OK on March 27, 1930 to her parents Delmar Eugene Bross and Bertha Louise (Tontz) Bross and was a bundle of joy from the very beginning.
Our mother was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in life with courage and dignity. Gloria was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
Gloria was a faithful servant to the Lord and instilled the same in her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children Raymond (Carla) Young of Edmond, OK, Sylvia (Robbie) Friend of Guthrie, OK, Virgil Young of Guthrie, OK and Mike (Maria) Young of Edmond, OK, 7 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Tommy (Johnnie) of Guthrie, OK. Gloria was predeceased by her parents, husband Raymond, daughter Janet, her brother Donald, and her grandson, Steven.
A visitation was held at Smith-Gallo Funeral Home on Sunday, January 29, 2023, from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm. The funeral service was held at Guthrie First Assembly of God on January 30, 2023, at 10:00 am. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
