Eldon Lee Fillmore, 93, of Edmond, Oklahoma passed away on April 1, 2023, in Oklahoma City. Eldon was born in Kingfisher on December 19, 1929, to Orville F. and Grace M. (Wheat) Fillmore.
On April 7, 1950, Eldon married Joan Cherry and to this union three children were born: Shirlee, Janis, and Keith. In 1964 Eldon and Joan moved their family to Guthrie from Bakersfield, California and had called Guthrie home for nearly 60 years.
Eldon was a builder of homes and commercial businesses and retired in 2005. He enjoyed spending time with his family, woodworking, and cabinet making. It’s joked that Eldon enjoyed working in his spare time.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years Joan, daughter Shirlee Latham and husband Mark of Edmond, Janis Williams and husband Bill of Bixby, 10 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren. Eldon was preceded in death by his parents Orville and Grace Fillmore, son Keith Fillmore, and brothers Harold and Roland Fillmore.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at Community Church (512 E. Seward Rd., Guthrie, OK 73044) with burial following at Oakland-Knowles in Crescent.
