Deborah Ann Garnand

Deborah Ann Garnand passed away peacefully on May 6, 2021 at her home in Guthrie, Oklahoma. She was born March 29, 1950 in Wichita, Kansas to James and Florence Parker.

Deborah, or “Debbie” to many, worked for Western Electric, later AT&T, until her retirement after 34 years. Following her retirement, her service to others continued for 10 years as she served students at Edmond Public Schools in the cafeteria. Debbie loved being around others, especially her children and grandchildren. Nothing brought her more joy than her family. She treasured every minute fishing, riding ATVs and just being outside and around her grandchildren. Debbie had been a Parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edmond for 47 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Edward Parker; and two sisters, Delores Foster and Naomi Parker. Deborah is survived by her husband of 51 years, Daniel Garnand; 2 sons, Joe Garnand and wife Renee of Edmond, and Jeremy Garnand and wife Amanda of Norman; as well as her 5 grandchildren, Adam, Alex, Andy, Camille, and Cora; her sister, Donna and husband Mike Gomez; and her brother, Patrick “Pat” Parker.

Come-and-go viewing will be from 9am-8pm on Tuesday, May 11th with a Wake Service and Rosary at 7pm at Crawford Family Funeral Service in Edmond. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10am on Wednesday, May 12th at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edmond with burial following at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
