Carl Lewis Messer, Jr., was born February 21, 1964 in Sentinel, Oklahoma to Carl and Mary Messer. He passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021 in Luther, Oklahoma.
Carl grew up in Guthrie, Oklahoma. He married Nita Laughary in August 2009. They made their home in Harrah, Oklahoma. He was a Veteran of the United States Army.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one step-son, Christopher Bobelu.
Carl is survived by his wife, Nita; daughter, Melissa Messer; son, Christopher Messer; stepson, Kenton Bobelu; step-daughter, Kaylee Kracke; grandchildren, Gavin Bobelu-Holt, Brody MacDonald and Aiden Messer; sisters, Bonita Snyder and Cindi Deardorff; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Del City Church of Christ, 1901 Vickie Drive, Del City, Oklahoma. Burial will be held at 3:00 P.M. at Summit View Cemetery in Guthrie with military honors. You are welcome to honor him and his father in your dress blues. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, 220 North 1st St., Guthrie, Oklahoma 73044.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at Smith-Gallo Funeral Home.
