On Monday, May 10th, 2021, Betty Lynn Goodwin, loving wife and mother to five children, passed away at the age of 88.
Betty was born on January 28th, 1933 in Kingfisher County, Oklahoma to Horace L. and Grace M. (Stewart) Moad.
On June 8th, 1949 she married John Thomas Goodwin Sr. in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Together they raised three sons, John Thomas II, Gary Lynn and Samual Ray, and two daughters, Judith Grace and Barbara Joyce.
Betty is survived by her loving husband John, two sons, John Thomas Goodwin II and wife Donna of Guthrie, Gary Lynn Goodwin and wife Dawn of Guthrie, two daughters, Judith Grace Nelson and husband Clifford of Guthrie and Barbara Joyce Dew and husband James of Guthrie, Thirteen grandchildren, Nineteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Grace, four brothers (Nathan, Robert, Denzil, Jerry and Larry) four sisters (Juanita, Norma, Beverly and Patsy) and her beloved son, Samual Ray Goodwin Sr.
A Celebration of Betty’s life will be held on Friday, May 21st at 10:00 AM at Community Church located at 512 East Seward Rd. in Guthrie with Pastor Bill Williams officiating.
