Barbara J. Higgins, age 86, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2024, in Oklahoma City. Barbara was born on December 21, 1937, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, to her loving parents, Earl and Audie (Bradford) Adkins. She spent most of her life in Guthrie, a town she deeply cherished. Barbara was a member of the Full Gospel Fellowship Church, where her faith and kindness touched many lives.
Barbara had a deep passion for the ocean and spent countless hours collecting seashells, a hobby that brought her great joy. She was also an avid animal lover with a particular fondness for cats, and she could often be found sharing treats and stories about her beloved pets. Barbara’s adventurous spirit shone through her love for camping, where she enjoyed evenings around the fire, sharing laughter and creating memories with friends and family.
Barbara will be remembered for her warm
heart and the unwavering love she shared with those around her.
She is survived by her siblings, Karol Huckeby, Bonnie Trobis, Linda Kay Beachum, Sonny Bradford, and Billy Bradford, who were a great source of joy and support in her life. She also leaves behind her dear friends, Lisa New and Bert Krick, who she treasured like family.
At this time, no services are planned, but her memorywillbehonored privately by those who loved her.
