“Mike” George Michael Reihs, passed away due to heart issues on August 30, 2024, at the age of 75. Mike was born on December 7, 1948, in Durant Oklahoma to George Fredrick Reihs & Billie June Reich. They moved to Guthrie when he was in grade school and graduated from Guthrie High School in 1967.
Mike was drafted into the Marine’s and served in the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1971. When Mike returned, he and Sandy moved to Grand Lake CO and started their family. After a brief stay in CO, they moved back to Oklahoma in Dec 1972.
Mike worked in Oilfield for many years then went into business for himself as a carpenter founding Reihs Custom Interiors. He retired in 2010 and enjoyed fishing and his beloved motorcycle club, The Territorial Riders, in which Mike served as President of the club for many years.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Father George Fredrick Reihs, Mother Billie June (Reich) Reihs, sister Pat Gail Reihs Oliver, paternal grandparents, Friedrich Reihs & Anna (Bardsen) Reihs and maternal grandparents, Irbie Benjamin Reich & Mamie (Snell) Reich, and brother-in-law Edgar Lee Ramsey.
He is survived by his wife Sandra J. (Ramsey) Reihs and by his children, “Sean” Michael Sean Reihs (Creedence), “Chris” Joel Christopher, and is granddaughter, Nicole Christian Lea Reihs, and grandsons Cody Austin Reihs (Madison), “Rowdy” Jarod Rowdy Reihs (Addison), and his great grandson, Sutton Wiley Reihs, his great granddaughters, Lalay Kaye Keyona Ackles & Rowan Wren Reihs, A celebration of life will be held at the Territorial Riders Clubhouse, 1101 E. Oklahoma, Guthrie, OK 73044 on September 28, 2024, between 3:00pm – 7:00 pm.
