Vivian “ Pauline” (Powell) Todd, 80, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, was born on December 10, 1943 to Andrew Paul Powell and Vivian Cleracy Lamunyon-Powell in Alva, Oklahoma with Pauline being the youngest of 9 children. Pauline passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, due to complications of a stroke.
After the death of her mother, she went to live with relatives, Melvin Dwyer & Cleracy Perry - Dwyer of Imo, Oklahoma when she was 9 years old. In July of 1962, she married Tommy Earl Todd of Pond Creek, Oklahoma and they had 2 children, son Troy Dea Todd and daughter Traci LeAnn Todd. Pauline and her family moved to Guthrie in 1969 and she resided there until her death.
Pauline worked in the health care industry for over 35 years, the last 25 as a laboratory technician and phlebotomist at the Guthrie Hospital. She also volunteered with the Red Cross. Pauline was an arts and crafts hobbyist (sewing and crocheting) and loved making gifts for family and friends rather than buying them. She was also an avid sports fan, especially her beloved Oklahoma Sooners.
Pauline is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Vivian Powell; parents, Melvin and Cleracy Dwyer; brothers, Raymond Powell, Odis “Buck” Powell, Marton “Lee” Powell, Jack Powell, and Carl “Tuffy” Powell. She is also preceded in death by Tommy Earl Todd.
She is survived by her son, Troy and wife, Deb of Guthrie; her daughter, Traci of Guthrie; brothers, Dick and wife, Joy Powell, Max and wife, Carol Powell, and Pat and wife, Annie Powell; and sister, Leta Dwyer Hyatt. Pauline is also survived by her grandchildren: Christine D. Baxter, Michael “Curtis” Todd, Tricia Todd-Martin, and Lynsi Martin; great-grandchildren: Tyler Baxter, Kyli Pennington, Abbie Miron, Curtis Max Baxter, Hayli Himes, Ryan Clark, and Lyli Clark. Also surviving her are her great-great-grandchildren: Chesney Baxter and Braelyn Fredrick as well as many nieces and nephews who she loved and adored.
