For Immediate Release:
The American Legion Lebron Post 58, as an integral part of the Guthrie community, provides resources for veterans and their families in Logan and the surrounding counties, the Armed Forces, and the children and youth in our community. In the first six months of 2024 we’ve supported tornado relief through donations, continual upgrade of Guthrie’s Honor Park Brick Pavers, and the full week of “89er Days” activities.
During the next six months we are delivering even more resources to your veterans. After months of tireless work by Chaplain George Shafer and the Posts E-Sports Committee, in cooperation with Brent Lemmons, former E-Sports coach of the Guthrie High School, we are pleased to announce the Grand Opening of “Bunker 58” which is scheduled for Wednesday, July 10 from 1-8 p.m.
Our E-Sports facility is primarily designed to reduce veteran suicide by providing an environment of connection, teamwork, and camaraderie for our local veterans. As community members and supporters of the American Legion, this is your opportunity to see how we honor our veterans and steward the financial support we receive through our various activities, fundraisers, and donations, which many of you are a part of. Come and witness what we can do together, be a player, Be the One.
