Joy Goodnow Pigott, 83 of Wichita Falls Texas went home to be with the Lord On the night of 12/22/21. She was born on April 16, 1938, in Stanley OK, the daughter of Ethel (Howard) and Clayton Tyler.
Joy was predeceased by her mother Ethel, father Clayton, brother Truman Tyler brother Carl Tyler, brother Ed Tyler, and sister Lou Jackson, grandsons Matthew Goodnow and Bradley Nichols.
Joy is survived by her husband Eddie Pigott, 3 children Carla (Ron) Chaffee, Randy (Melonie) Goodnow and Larry (Sharon) Goodnow, 4 stepchildren Vince Pigott, Charmain Stump, Cindy Pigott and Tracy Fuller. Grandchildren Rebecca Goodnow, David Nichols, JR, Melissa Nichols, Dana Putirskis and Brianna Monin as well as multiple great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Joy was a member of Red River Cowboy Church of Burkburnett, where she sang in the Stone Cross Country worship band alongside her husband Eddie.
Joy had a love for Country music from the day she was born and sang her heart out until the day she passed. Country music was in her blood
Joy was a professional singer/songwriter receiving numerous awards for the Queen of Country Music in the North Atlantic States by the Grand Ole Opry, Country Female artist and Female Country entertainer of the year Awards in the New England States.
