Kathy Marie Reece, 63, of Guthrie, OK gained her angel wings on Wednesday, November 10, 2021.
Kathy was born to the late Robert “Bob” and Marie (Cook) Roden in Guthrie on May 3, 1958. She grew up in Guthrie and attended Guthrie Schools.
She met the love of her life, Michael Reece when she was 9 years old. They were married on January 31, 1973.
Michael and Kathy together raised 2 children and were blessed with 3 granddaughters. Kathy was a homemaker and she loved to fix holiday dinners for her family.
Kathy was preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband, Michael; Michael’s parents, Dan and Pearl Reece; her brother-in-law, Tom Reece; and sister-in-law, Sharon Reece, all of Guthrie.
Kathy is survived by her daughter, Kari Michele Reece; son, Kevin (Mandy) Reece, and 3 granddaughters, Riley, Davina, and Makayla Reece, all of Guthrie. She is also survived by her sister, Shirley (Paul) Cinnamon of Yukon, OK; sister, Debbie Reece; and brother, Rob (Tamara) Roden, all of Guthrie; and special aunt, Linda Humphrey; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins that she loved dearly.
Kathy accepted the Lord, Jesus Christ and she and her husband and children were baptized at the same time at Bible Baptist Church.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at SouthPointe Baptist Church with Pastor Robby Robbins officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, 220 North 1st St., Guthrie, OK 73044.
There will not be any visitation.
