Lady Bluejays look for trip to state tournament as they host regional

The Guthrie Lady Bluejays softball team looks to make their second trip to the Class 5A state tournament in four years as they host a four team regional at the softball complex today and tomorrow. The tournament got moved up because of Homecoming.

Guthrie starts out with Southeast High School from Oklahoma City at 11 a.m. Bishop McGuiness and Lawton Ike are in the other half of the bracket at 1 p.m.

The losers play at 3 p.m. and the winners play at 5 p.m. this afternoon. Games will then shift to Thursday with games at 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. (if necessary). The winner of the winner’s bracket game has the advantage as they get to wait until 2 p.m. Thursday to play.

Tickets can only be bought online through the homepage of OSSAA.com. There will be no tickets sold on site of the games. The News Leader will have complete coverage of all of Guthrie’s games.
